Festively decorated gondola boats both large and small are seen on the canals of Xochimilco, near Mexico City, Mexico. The boats, known as Trajinera boats, are propelled by Mexican men, women, and children primarily using long poles. A Trajinera boats with the name "Rosamaria" on it. The boats are painted in bright colors and some have flowers. A Mexican woman sits in an open boat preparing traditional Mexican food.
